In the bag trade, “neoprene” is often used as a broad commercial description for laminated foam materials. It does not automatically mean diving-suit-grade chloroprene rubber or a confirmed CR composition. A bag route may use SBR, CR, an SBR/CR blend or another specified foam laminated to a polyester or nylon facing. The exact foam composition, facing, thickness, density, colour, lamination and supporting documents must be confirmed for the selected project route.
Thickness changes feel, sewing difficulty, zipper area, corner shape and carton volume.
Thicker foam may feel padded, but it does not automatically provide tested impact protection. The buyer should review the finished pouch while it is loaded with the intended bottles, tools or amenity items.
If the pouch must protect glass bottles, vials or travel items, define the handling or drop method before sample approval. Construction, dividers, bottle movement and closure stress all affect the result.
Branding decisions should be approved on the same foam, facing and structure route planned for production.
Suitable for simple logos. Approve colour, placement, rub resistance and flexing on the physical sample.
Available only when the selected facing and artwork route are compatible. Colourfastness and edge appearance require sample approval.
A separate branded component. Approve size, stitch line and skin-contact edges before production.
Tooling, finish, minimums and lead time are confirmed per design. Pantone matching depends on facing, dye or print route and MOQ.
A sewn neoprene cosmetic bag should not be described as waterproof or leakproof by default. Liquid performance depends on the laminated facing, seams, zipper, binding, lining and closure. If a defined seepage or leak result is required, agree the test method and acceptance standard before quotation.
Foam and lamination routes can differ in odour, surface feel, colour transfer, delamination, creasing and recovery after packing. Approve airing time, pack-out and shape recovery with the production route.
Care instructions must match the final route. Do not assume machine washing, heat resistance, antibacterial performance or mould resistance. Material composition, chemical documents, skin-contact or restricted-substance requirements are confirmed per destination market.
Use completed evidence and inquiry-stage briefs differently when evaluating neoprene cosmetic bag projects.
Status: completed order, 2021. Buyer: anonymous Swiss hotel program. Quantity: 1,000 pieces.
Construction: black neoprene outer, resin-tooth zipper and screen-printed logo. Size: L20 x H13.5 x W3.5 cm. Packing: one pouch per polybag.
The buyer wanted refined appearance and soft hand feel. The first logo scale was too large, so Rivta prepared several logo-size mockups and adjusted before approval. Stitching and material hand feel were checked for bulk.
Material identity note: the project record confirms bag-grade material described as neoprene, but exact foam composition was not retained; it must not be presented as diving-suit-grade or confirmed CR.
Qualified inquiry-stage briefs are not completed orders.
